Currently Crushing On #3 (October 2014)

October has been a quiet month on the blogging front, and for a good reason. On the 8th, we welcomed our first little one into the world, a beautiful boy. I have no words to describe the amazingness of him, and of this whole new world ahead of us.  He is just absolutely precious, and I could easily just spend all day gushing about him. But this isn’t a mama blog, so I’ll get on with business now, but that’s my excuse for being absent lately.

Things I love and want this October:

From the new LUSH Christmas Collection, I want to try Rose Jam Shower Gel,  Santa’s Lip Scrub, and So White Shower Gel – although everything sounds pretty nice! Not sure how long these are around, so get in quick!

Bossy Cosmetics – Brush cleaning pads and shampoos. Admit it, who cleans their brushes as often as they should?… now there is no excuse, as they have a sale on some of their items.

Gracie Lou – now stock NYX Lipsticks, and I simply can’t choose between them, some gorgeous colours there!

Snatch A Deal – was really happy with my last purchase from them and would buy again. The only downside was the high cost of shipping ($7.95).  They have some nice Essie nail polishes at just $5 each, and well as L’Oreal Colour Riche lipliners for just $1 today only!

NZSale currently have China Glaze nail polishes for $7 each, in a wide selection of colours…you’ll need to buy a few to justify shipping though! 😉

I’ve just treated myself to a few little things on RoseroseShop (finally!). I’m fussy about what I put on my skin, so although I’m drawn to the unique cuteness of Asian beauty products, I’ve been hesitant, not knowing whats in them.  I decided to bite the bullet anyway, and buy Etude House Choco Milk Talk Body Wash, as I’ve become addicted to flavoured milk and milkshakes since my pregnancy, Missing U Panda Peach Hand Cream, and a Holika Holika Poison Red eyeliner pencil – I will review these when they arrive. I paid $27 NZ (including postage) for my haul yesterday, and am looking forward to trying them out!

Manic Panic lipsticks are on sale for $14.90 at Sinister Boutique – to be honest, I haven’t used them in 7 years or so and HATED the crayon-like texture back then, but I’ve been determined to give their new formulas a go, I love their new colours! And the new studded packaging is very cool too.  Plus, Sinister have all the makeup/SFX you need for Halloween, so you can stock up while you’re there.

Despite not having access to Sephora,  I absolutely NEED the Kat Von D Studded Lips mini set in my life! This contains 9 minatures from Kat Von D’s new lipstick collection, in an assortment of colours.  This retails at $39 US which is pretty reasonable (plus postage to NZ though – IF you can even get your hands on it!).  You could try somewhere like Reddit’s Makeup Exchange and see if someone will send it over, but it’s risky 😦 I guess those studded Manic Panic ones might just have to do for now…studlipkit

Finally, Sorbet have released their Christmas products – lots of lovely new things there! I’m eyeing up the Lemon Meringue Pie body wash bar – sounds almost good enough to eat, and costs just $7.50.  They also have cute little Christmas Pud soaps, Christmas tree solid shampoo (‘poo bars’), gift sets and more.

If you sell, or know about, an awesome beauty product that I should be aware of, please email me at artemisjones13 @, or comment here – I’d love to hear from you!
